Healix and NORA: frequently asked questions

Clear answers about the Healix AI-powered digital hospital and NORA, the Healix healthcare AI assistant: what they do, how AI safety and consent work, and how patients, doctors, hospitals, labs and pharmacies get started.

About Healix

What is Healix?

Healix is an AI-powered digital hospital platform. It connects patients, doctors, hospitals, labs and pharmacies in one healthcare journey, from intake and appointment booking to consultation, prescriptions, lab results and follow-up. NORA, the Healix healthcare AI assistant, supports each step.

What is an AI digital hospital?

An AI digital hospital is a connected healthcare platform that brings the core services of a hospital into one online journey, with an AI assistant that prepares information for patients and clinicians. It does not replace a physical hospital or medical staff. Clinical decisions remain with qualified healthcare professionals.

Is Healix available now?

Healix is in early access. We are working with a limited number of hospitals, clinics, doctors, labs and pharmacies. You can request early access on the Healix website and our team will contact you.

Which languages does Healix support?

Healix and NORA currently support English and Urdu for patients and care teams.

Is Healix related to other products or tokens called Healix?

No. Healix at healixcare.ai is an AI-powered digital hospital platform with the NORA healthcare AI assistant. It is not connected to any cryptocurrency, token or other product that uses a similar name.

NORA and AI safety

What is NORA?

NORA is the healthcare AI assistant inside Healix. It helps patients with intake, booking and understanding their records, and helps doctors with pre-consultation summaries, documentation and scheduling. Its guiding principle is "NORA drafts. Professionals decide."

Does NORA diagnose patients or replace doctors?

No. NORA does not diagnose, prescribe or make treatment decisions. It prepares and organises information, and a qualified healthcare professional reviews and decides. NORA is an informational and productivity tool, not a substitute for professional medical advice.

Can I use Healix in a medical emergency?

No. Healix is not an emergency service. If you think you or someone else has a medical emergency, contact your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department immediately.

Does Healix sell personal data?

No. Healix does not sell personal data. Information is shared only with healthcare providers involved in your care, with AI and service providers under agreements when needed to run the features you use, or when required by law. See the Privacy Policy for details.

For patients

How do I book a doctor appointment with Healix?

In the Healix patient app you describe what you need, NORA helps you find a suitable doctor and time, and you confirm the booking. You can also cancel or reschedule, and your reports and prescriptions stay linked to each visit.

Can NORA explain my lab report?

NORA can explain terms and units and point out values the lab has flagged, so you can prepare questions. It cannot tell you what your results mean for your health. Your doctor interprets results with you.

How much does Healix cost for patients?

Pricing depends on the hospital or clinic providing your care. During early access, contact your provider or the Healix team for details.

For doctors, hospitals, labs and pharmacies

What is a patient summary for doctors in Healix?

Before a consultation, NORA prepares a short briefing from the patient record, such as reason for visit, prior encounters, medications and recent results, with links back to the source. The doctor reviews, edits and decides.

Does Healix replace our hospital information system?

No. Healix is designed to work alongside existing hospital, lab and pharmacy systems, using healthcare data standards such as HL7 and FHIR where available. Integration scope is agreed during discovery.

How does a hospital get started with Healix?

Deployment follows four stages: discovery of your existing systems, integration, a pilot in one department, and a phased roll-out. Request early access to start the discovery conversation.

How do labs and pharmacies connect to Healix?

Labs can receive structured orders from consultations and return results to the patient record. Pharmacies can receive prescriptions issued by doctors in Healix and share fulfilment status. Connection options are confirmed during onboarding.
