How it works for doctors
What an AI patient summary gives you before each consultation
A patient summary in Healix is a short, structured briefing that NORA prepares from the patient record before the appointment. It typically covers the reason for the visit in the patient's own words, relevant previous encounters, current medications and allergies, and recent lab and radiology results with dates. Every item links back to its source, so you can check anything that affects your decision.
During the consultation
NORA supports documentation of vitals, diagnoses, prescriptions and lab orders that you enter, and drafts the visit note for you to review. Prescriptions and lab orders are issued by you and flow to connected pharmacies and labs, and results return to the same record.
After the consultation
Follow-ups, results and patient messages stay attached to the visit, so the next consultation starts with context instead of a blank page. Schedule management helps you keep availability accurate across in-clinic and online appointments.
Using AI summaries safely
AI can omit information or misread a scanned document, so treat every summary as a draft. Confirm medications and allergies against the record before prescribing, open the original report for any value that affects your decision, and ask the patient about anything missing. Our article on how doctors can use AI patient summaries safely sets out a five-step routine.
Frequently asked questions
What is a patient summary for doctors in Healix?
Before a consultation, NORA prepares a short briefing from the patient record, such as reason for visit, prior encounters, medications and recent results, with links back to the source. The doctor reviews, edits and decides.
Does NORA diagnose patients or replace doctors?
No. NORA does not diagnose, prescribe or make treatment decisions. It prepares and organises information, and a qualified healthcare professional reviews and decides. NORA is an informational and productivity tool, not a substitute for professional medical advice.
Is my health data shared with AI without my permission?
No. Healix asks for explicit consent before personal or health information is processed by NORA. If you do not consent, you can still use other Healix features, but NORA features will not be available. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Is Healix available now?
Healix is in early access. We are working with a limited number of hospitals, clinics, doctors, labs and pharmacies. You can request early access on the Healix website and our team will contact you.
